Map Activity 20.2 - Conquest and Resistance in Colonial Africa

By the early twentieth century, the map of Africa reflected the outcome of the "scramble for Africa," a conquest that was heavily resisted in many places. The boundaries established during that process still provide the political framework for Africa's independent states.

Identify historically significant locations on the map. Place each name on the map by clicking on the name, dragging it to the correct map location, and then dropping it into place. When you are finished, select "Submit" to view your score.
