Module 16: Observational Learning
Module 16 gives a basic summary of observational learning centered on Bandura’s modeling experiments. Observational learning is defined and Bandura’s “Bobo doll” experiment is explained and his conclusions detailed.
The module explains how antisocial and prosocial behavior can be learned through observation. The module concludes with a discussion of how violence portrayed in the media may influence children.
