Module 33: Psychological Therapies
Module 33 is the first of two modules on psychological therapies, beginning with a brief explanation of therapy and the various types.
Freud’s therapy of psychoanalysis is covered. Freud’s theory of how disorders develop is explained, and the methodology that a psychoanalytic therapist would use to cure those disorders is detailed.
The humanistic therapy of Carl Rogers is discussed, followed by behaviorist therapy.   Group and family therapies are included as well. The module concludes by mentioning the alternative therapy known as light therapy.
