Macmillan Learning ebooks meet EPUB Accessibility requirements and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2) at AA level.

Each book is designed to be as accessible as possible to users of assistive technology.

• All images have short descriptions, and complex images and graphs have additional longer descriptions. Copyright information is omitted from image descriptions to create a better reading experience.
• If math is present in the title, it is presented in MathML. If the reading system a reader is using is not compatible with MathML, an image alternative with alt text is available.
• Navigation for this book is provided by headings, table of contents, page numbers, and hyperlinking. If there is no print counterpart of this publication, page numbers are provided anyway for ease of use.
• There are linked references to figures, but no backlinks to avoid confusion based on where a user may return to when selecting a backlink.
• Due to the educational nature of our books, in some subjects such as those in communications, screen reader users may find it helpful to enable the reading of punctuation in assistive technology to hear pedagogical information.
