Hundreds of Video Options
Achieve for Developmental Psychology includes hundreds of assignable video resources that help students connect developmental concepts to real-world examples and support active learning. It gives instructors two flexible ways to assign video content that supports active learning: Video Assignments and Video Explorations.
Video Assignments
Instructors can choose from approximately 140–160 assignable videos, depending on the course. These short clips include case studies, classic research, developmental stage-focused content, TED Talks, and more. Videos can be assigned as standalone activities or paired with additional assignments. Videos can be assigned on their own or paired with other course activities. Instructors can also use Short Form Writing to turn any video into a brief writing assignment with customizable rubrics.
Video Explorations
Achieve also includes a suite of 30 Video Explorations. These activities break videos into short, focused clips and pair them with embedded assessment questions, including multiple choice, drag-and-drop, and short answer. This pedagogical framework helps instructors assign videos in a way that actively supports student learning, rather than simply adding media to the course.
