Macmillan Learning Accessibility

European Union Accessibility Act

The EU Accessibility Act aims to strengthen digital accessibility requirements for public and private entities, including colleges and universities. We’re here to help you understand the standards and how they may impact the delivery of digital content and services. Our goal is to support compliance while fostering inclusive and accessible learning environments for all.

Your Trusted Accessibility Partner

For over 175 years, Macmillan Learning has been committed to creating educational content that meets diverse teaching needs and drives student success. Now, meeting EU Accessibility Act requirements is simpler than ever–so you can focus on teaching with confidence.

Macmillan Learning is working towards a platform that meets all requirements for WCAG 2.1 AA. Meeting these requirements will help ensure that we are providing a platform that is compatible with students' assistive technology and learning experiences. Our current timeline is to complete all remediation of accessibility-related bugs on our student platform by the end of 2025. We have contracted third-party consultants to help us identify the highest-priority needs and find solutions to address them. Simultaneously, we are designing accessibility education modules that are voluntary and open to all of our employees to help them better understand what accessibility is and who is impacted by the work they are continuing to do.

Our Commitment to Inclusive Learning

Accessibility is more than compliance—it’s about innovation, inclusivity, and equitable learning for every student. At Macmillan Learning, accessibility is built into everything we do, ensuring that all students and educators have the tools they need to succeed.

We are actively working toward a platform that meets WCAG 2.1 AA standards, ensuring seamless compatibility with assistive technologies.
