Macmillan & GoReact: Our Partnership Just Improved

In 2017, Macmillan Learning became the first major publisher to partner with GoReact, integrating powerful video assessment software into our LaunchPad platform and truly transforming the experience of using and interacting with video in Communication courses. We announced our partnership in spring 2018, and we are excited to share new developments.

In cooperation with GoReact, we have developed a new app for students to record and upload videos directly into their assignments in LaunchPad from their mobile device.

The Macmillan Mobile Video app is available for iOS in the App Store and for Android in Google Play. It is simple, streamlined, and easy to use. TO LEARN MORE, watch this video walkthrough! (We talk about the app around the 16:00 mark.)

With this new app:

• Students can record a new video using a device's camera or upload files stored on their devices. Once students post their video submission to an assignment, it appears in the LaunchPad course and is available for feedback and grading.

• Videos created within the app can be trimmed before posting; so students only submit what they want to be graded.

• Recordings are automatically compressed for upload on a device, making upload times and bandwidth requirements as light as possible. Videos are automatically paused and safely stored on the device if Internet connectivity is interrupted.

This powerful video assessment and seamless mobile app can be used NOW with Speech Craft, A Speaker's Guidebook 7e, and Real Communication 4e, and later this fall with A Pocket Guide to Public Speaking 6e and Reflect & Relate 5e.
